Netflix has dropped the trailer and premiere date for its new dark comedy series The End of the F**cking World. After Season 1 originally appeared on the UK's Channel 4 in October, the drama is set to make its Netflix debut on January 5.

Based on the graphic novel by Charles Forman, the 8-episode series follows self-proclaimed psychopath James (Black Mirror's Alex Lawther) and his very opinionated friend Alyssa (Jessica Barden).

After James vows to kill Alyssa, things don't quite go according to plan and the pair eventually embark on a chaotic journey causing a few fatal casualties along the way.

With the series already gaining positive reviews, the bleak teen comedy is likely to be a hit on Netflix this new year. Check out the trailer above and be sure to let us know if this is a must-watch in the comments below.
