Machine learning’s rise becomes more notable with each new year, as American engineering and robotics design company Boston Dynamics just unveiled the next update to its Atlas robot.

In the short video above, the humanoid machine now has the ability to run at a decent pace and on varying terrain. While it’s no Usain Bolt, the robot is a literal machine and therefore does not tire, making this latest update very disconcerting for those worried about a robot revolution in the future.

Previously, the company released footage of its robot jumping between boxes at different heights, as well as jumping and spinning at the same time, and even nailing a backflip, making its movements seem almost human.

While the company continues to progress and perfect the design, we might just be years away from actually seeing a robot that will look and act like a real human being.
